1. Awareness campaign on Drug Policy: The UVYC has been advocating for a drug policy for youths to avoid the menace of drug addiction among the youths of Manipur. The UVYC conducted Awareness campaign on formation of Manipur State Drug Policy at several villages of Imphal West II, C.D. Block Imphal West District during the month of April to September, 2018. Around 1500 representatives of the local clubs/School Teachers/Panchayat Members, women society members were participated in the campaign.
2. Drug Abuse Prevention campaign: The UVYC organised drug abuse prevention campaign targeting educational complexes. UVYC targeted various schools like High Schools, Higher Secondary Schools in Churachandpur and Bishenpur Districts. Around 1500 students and teachers participated in the campaigns. Resource persons from Mangaal IRCA and New Life, Churachandpur delivered in different topics. Such campaign motivated rural student youths, family members and community leaders who can influence the drug addicts to undergo treatment.
3. Assessment Camp for Persons with Disabilities: As a routine work of CBR on Persons with disabilities unit the United Voluntary Youth Council conducted a One Day Assessment Camp for Persons with Disabilities at Kwakta Bazar Community Hall, Bishenpur District on 3rd December, 2018 in connection with the Observance of World Disabled Day 2018. 5 Doctors from Ortho, Surgery, Medicine, ENT, Psychiatric Department, from J.N. Hospital given assessment and treatment to the 76 persons with disabilities. Out of which 21 were children with disabilities.52 PWDs got Disability Certificate.
